Sammy Jackson is a Canadian jazz singer known for a warm, expressive voice and a refined approach to classic jazz repertoire. Drawing inspiration from the Great American Songbook, Sammy brings a modern sensibility to timeless standards through thoughtful phrasing and subtle emotional nuance. Their performances emphasize intimacy, storytelling, and a deep respect for jazz tradition.
Sammy will be accompanied by Tom Fleming on guitar.
Tom Fleming is a Toronto-based guitarist, composer, and educator whose work spans jazz and contemporary music. He has performed and recorded with an extensive range of internationally recognized artists and appeared at major festivals and venues across Canada, the U.S., Europe, Japan, and Mexico. A longtime collaborator with Canadian jazz vocalist Barbra Lica, he appears on her JUNO-nominated album I’m Still Learning and her Justin Time release You’re Fine, which includes a co-written track. Tom holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Jazz Guitar Performance from the University of Toronto and is currently completing a Doctorate in Music.
